Looks like we've got most of the hiccups worked out now with how the site displays in IE. I wanted initially to just say "Fuck IE", but for some suicidal reason, I decided it would be best to at least TRY to get things working. I'm happy to say, yes, it seems to be working for right now. The only problem is that I don't have an older version of IE to test things on. Anybody using Internet Explorer 5.5 or earlier, please take a screenshot and show it to me. I'd like to be sure things are at least working... more or less... in older versions of IE. Thanks!

What a con it was. Generally quite disorganized, but a lot of fun. Duel Jewel rocked ass, and Camino wasn't too bad, not to mention the Rebel Cosplay crew showed up as THE T-SHIRT NINJA BRIGADE. ^_^ Fun stuff all around, and Erilan's pics of the event are already up here. Hopefully we'll see pics from pookie and psythe soon as well.

On a slightly different note, I'd like to clarify something about this site before we continue along our merry way in the cosplay/anime community. This site was not started to "compete" with other cosplay or anime sites. It was not started to spite anyone. Yes, the final few events that spawned the site's inception were definite points of contention for many people, however we created it simply to avoid further conflict which seemed inevitable. It was even named with our tongue firmly planted in cheek, as the epithet "rebellious" had been lobbed at us and we simply took it as a joke and slapped it in our title. Any "offense" anyone takes to our manner of joking is a product of their own prejudgements and issues brought to the table, as we're just having fun with labels that were thrown at us because frankly it gives us some damn good design ideas.

We will differ ourselves from other sites in some ways. We're not censoring things at all. You can speak your mind so long as you're not an outright dick to people. We even welcome those that apparently see us as "enemies" as part of the reason we started this site was to create a very free, neutral zone. We have a sense of humor. You can poke fun at us even, we don't really care. Just don't misunderstand us, we're just in this for fun. Fuck ego, fuck bragging rights, and definitely fuck drama. Besides, this will always hold true.

Now, can't we all just get along?

Well we're about to rearrange what little is here to accomodate making future updates easier. Hopefully things will work properly as I hammer the CSS into shape. In the meanwhile, A-kon is this week and we'll have a madhouse going here in Dallas. Weeeee! Look for a report on how things are going and a special edition of the Happyshack while everyone is here in town!

Quick note for anyone watching this design being built in IE. IE sucks. Bad. PNG support is broken so I'll have to have an alternative design. But in Mozilla things are looking cool. Stupid Microsoft. Anyway, she's comin along smoothly!

Welcome to our new home

Since we did not seem to fit in at a certain place, we decided to start our own place.
For now chat is the only thing that's operational.
